v1.0.1 — Latest stable release
Recommended for all new installs and upgrades.
This patch release tightens backend security (CORS, modernized startup handling) and removes leftover dead code. It follows v1.0.0, which corrected several architectural and reliability issues including a real-data Diagnostics page, multi-turn Chat memory, and a Calibration Guard licensing fix.

Installation¶
- Download the
.exeinstaller from the link above. - Run it. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, click More info → Run anyway — this is expected for unsigned installers.
- The installer places VIA Onboard in
C:\Program Files\ViaOnboard\, creates a desktop shortcut, and registers the Calibration Guard Scheduled Task. - Launch VIA Onboard from the desktop shortcut.
- Download the
.zipfile. - Extract to a folder of your choice (USB drive, local folder, network share).
- Run
ViaOnboard.exefrom the extracted folder. - Note: the portable build does not install Calibration Guard or register a startup task. Use the installer for production deployments.
Verifying downloads¶
For production or regulated environments, verify the SHA256 checksum before installing:
Get-FileHash .\VIA-Onboard-Setup-1.0.1.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Compare the printed hash against the value listed above. If they don't match, do not install — contact ViciVision support.
